Being someone who has always despised religious posts on Facebook, I find it ironic that I was picked to be an "online" missionary. But alas, it has occurred. Let's start off by making something clear, I'm about as sarcastic as they come. Also, I make unusual connections between unrelated topics. Which you will get a taste if on this blog- because I am so giving. By the end of my 18 months, you will most likely be utterly convinced of my insanity. To that, all I have to say is: I'm not crazy, just unique... Now get over it.
On a serious note, I hope to grow and learn from my mission. Which is why I decided to start a blog. That way I can keep track of my growth and progress (or my declining mental capacity, whichever way it goes) through this thing called the internet. Side note, I've never blogged before, so if mine seems a little unorthodox, now you know why, end side note. I hope to mature (a little bit, not too much) and heal from past experiences.I never planned to go on a mission, so I know that Heavenly Father sent me here for a reason, or he wouldn't have made it so that I had no other choice but to send in my papers. It will be interesting to find out why He decided to unleash me in Santa Rosa, CA when I come from Los Angeles. It will probably be even more interesting for my poor mission president, President Bunker! If I come to a zone conference in war paint, I apologize ahead of time!
I am excited to be here, and grateful for the opportunity of serving a mission. I can only hope and pray that I will be the effective and hard working missionary my Heavenly Father intended me to be.
Sis. Carro. I would like assure you that your sarcastic comments when done in a loving manner are always welcome and hilarious. Hey you never know, you just might inspire me too. :)
